Anne Shiraishi

Anne Shiraishi began her career at Southwest Strategies as a full-time intern before being hired as an Account Executive in January 2012. She has extensive experience in numerous public and private sector organizations and thoroughly enjoys working at the nexus of business, policy and public outreach. Her resume includes experiences at the U.S. Embassy in Bolivia, a Congresswoman's office, CB Richard Ellis in Brazil and Samsung Electronics in South Korea where she worked directly with the Branding and Marketing Communications teams in the Memory Division.

Anne handles numerous client accounts on a daily basis by conducting market research, drafting letters and press releases, managing stakeholder outreach efforts and monitoring media reporting. She is also closely involved in the marketing and external communication activities of Southwest Strategies.

A native San Diegan, Anne completed her undergraduate studies abroad in Canada, France and Argentina and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. She recently completed her Masters of Pacific and International Affairs (MPIA) at UCSD's Graduate School of International Relations/Pacific Studies where she specialized in International Management, Environmental Policy and Latin America. She is professionally fluent in French and Spanish and has intermediate ability in Portuguese and Italian. Additionally, her academic paper on Brazilian pre-salt regulation has been published in the school's Journal of International Policy Solutions.

In her free time, Anne enjoys going to the beach, reading up on local and national politics, cooking, searching for travel deals to exotic destinations and trying to improve her handicap on the Torrey Pines South Course.
