At Southwest Strategies Hansen serves as a senior writer, coordinating client projects and managing research and marketing efforts, as well as publicity programs. Hansen assists the firm's wide variety of private and public clients through the entitlement process, overseeing outreach programs related to land use, transportation and infrastructure projects for clients such as SANDAG, Caltrans, Pardee Homes and Donahue Schriber. Hansen is a graduate of Arizona State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, cum laude. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute's San Diego/Tijuana Chapter and a local land use group for women. Having played tennis competitively since the age of 10, Hansen can be found on the court playing against her husband Brian or cheering on the pros at home on the weekends.
