Stephanie Dell serves as Vice President at Southwest Strategies, combining her experience in government, community and media relations to deliver effective education and outreach campaigns for clients. At Southwest Strategies, Dell offers a wide range of support from reputation management and crisis communications to assistance in land use and entitlement matters.
In her role at Southwest Strategies, Dell is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic communications plans for clients. Dell has played key roles in securing land use approvals for multiple residential projects including Pardee Homes’ Meadowood project in northern San Diego County and Castlerock in the City of San Diego. Dell has also successfully navigated complex annexation and boundary line adjustments for multiple projects.
Dell has extensive experience in the energy and sustainability industries having previously worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), one of the largest combined natural gas and electric companies in the nation. In her role at PG&E, Dell drove positive media coverage, served as a company spokesperson on a variety of high-profile topics and supported internal communications for Gas Operations.
Throughout her career, Dell has been successful in securing positive news coverage in local and national media outlets and has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America for outstanding public affairs programs. Dell has also served in supervisory roles on political campaigns throughout California.
Dell started her career working in broadcast journalism where she cultivated her writing and public speaking skills which have helped her establish a successful career in communications. Dell has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media Arts from California State University Chico and has received a certificate in Land Use and Environmental Sustainability through the University of San Diego. She is a member of the Association of Women in Water, Energy and Environment and the East Bay Leadership Council.
Dell lives in Walnut Creek and enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s natural parks and museums with her family.Back To Our People
