Stephanie Dell serves as Vice President at Southwest Strategies combining her experience in government, community and media relations to deliver effective communications campaigns for clients. At Southwest Strategies, Dell offers a wide range of support from reputation management and crisis communications to assistance in land use and entitlement matters.
Dell was with Southwest Strategies from 2004 to 2014 and was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans for clients including Pardee Homes, Torrey Pines Bank, McMillin Land Development, SDG&E and Fox Sports. Dell has successfully led community outreach programs and helped secure approvals for major projects and contracts for clients throughout the state.
Before rejoining Southwest Strategies in 2016, Dell worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company, one of the largest combined natural gas and electric companies in the nation. In her role at PG&E, Dell drove positive external media coverage, served as a company spokesperson on a variety of high-profile topics, and supported internal employee communications for the Gas Operations organization.
Throughout her career Dell has been successful in securing positive news coverage in local and national media outlets and has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America for outstanding public affairs programs. Dell has also served in supervisory roles on political campaigns throughout California.
Dell started her career working in broadcast journalism where she cultivated her writing and public speaking skills which have helped her establish a successful career in communications. Dell has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media Arts from California State University Chico and has received a certificate in Land Use and Environmental Sustainability through the University of San Diego.
Dell lives in Walnut Creek and enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s natural parks and museums with her husband and family.Back To Our People
